DIRECTIONS
FROM POINTS NORTH AND WEST OF EVANSTON: Get to McCormick Boulevard, which is the four-lane north-south road just west of the MSD "Sanitary" Canal. If you're coming down the Edens Expressway, get off at Dempster and head east. Take McCormick Boulevard to Main Street. Turn east (left) on Main Street to Dodge Avenue, which is the second stoplight east of McCormick Boulevard. Turn south (right) on Dodge Avenue. Continue past Oakton Street to the first stoplight south of Oakton Street. Turn west (right) into the James Park complex and parking lots. Park in the east (first) parking lot. There are two pony league diamonds: games are scheduled at the east diamond. Usually the west diamond is available for pre-game practice. FROM POINTS SOUTH OF EVANSTON: Get to McCormick Boulevard, which is the four-lane north-south road just west of the MSD "Sanitary" Canal. If you're coming up the Edens Expressway, get off at either Touhy or Dempster. If you get off at Dempster, follow the directions for "From Points North and West of Evanston" above. If you get off at Touhy, follow Touhy east to McCormick Boulevard. Turn north (left) onto McCormick and follow it to Howard Street. Turn east (right) on Howard Street and follow Howard to Dodge Avenue. Turn north (left) on Dodge Avenue. The turnoff to the James Park complex is the first stoplight north of Howard Street. Turn west (left) into the James Park complex and parking lots. Park in the east (first) parking lot. There are two pony league diamonds: games are scheduled at the east diamond. Usually the west diamond is available for pre-game practice. WORD TO THE WISE: During Fall 2002, the Oakton Street bridge over the "Sanitary" Canal is being rebuilt.
