GAME HIGHLIGHTS: Skokie Youth White Sox Rosenblatt hit a towering home run to right center field. Kriticos and Rogak, both Skokie Youth Diamondbacks, each only gave up one run to the White Sox, with only one walk in six innings.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS: A very exciting game. In the bottom of the 6th, the Skokie Youth Diamondbacks took the lead for the first time, 11-9. In the top of the 7th, the Morton Grove Cardinals rallied to take a 12-11 lead. With two outs in the bottom of the 7th, the Diamondbacks started their rally, with a hit by Kriticos, a walk by Finkel and an intentional walk to Adler. With the bases loaded, Ehrenberg hit a single to center, driving in Kriticos and Finkel for the victory. (Also see Morton Grove Cardinals page.)

GAME HIGHLIGHTS: After five innings, the score was tied 3-3. Adler pitched four strong innings, giving up only one earned run. Morton Grove White Sox played an all around good game, throwing out Skokie Youth Diamondback runners on a big play at third (call up player Adler) and getting Block out at the plate to end a fifth inning rally. Berg threw three strong innings to seal the victory.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS: Morton Grove Cardinals Dukes, Hagopian, De Guzman, and Senensky each had two hits apiece. Ceisel had three hits, including a first inning three-run homer. The game was close until the Skokie Youth Diamondbacks scored three unearned runs in the seventh to break the game open. Ceisel pitched two innings and gave up six runs. De Guzman pitched 1/3 of an inning and gave up four runs. Senensky came in to relive De Guzman in the third with the bases loaded and got out of the jam. Senensky ended up pitching 4-2/3 innings and striking out 11 Diamondbacks. For the Diamondbacks, Adler pitched well in relief after Kriticos gave up seven runs.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS: M.Pagano started for the Edgebrook-Sauganash Yankees but had to be relieved because of a sore elbow after retiring the first two Diamondbacks. Robbie came in and did a great job pitching the next 4-1/3 innings. It was a very close game for the first few innings with Robbie and the Diamondbacks' Adler locked in a pitchers' duel. Robbie helped himself take the lead with two standup triples. The bats of the Yankees came alive and the final score was 12-2 in a five-inning slaughter rule victory.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS: An elimination game between the Skokie Youth Diamondbacks and the Morton Grove Cardinals. Lewis took the mound for the Cardinals but didn't have his great stuff. He had trouble hitting the strike zone and walked ten Diamondbacks, but he did have 13 strikeouts. Ceisel came in in the top of the seventh to close the game and record the save. Both Kriticos and Adler pitched well for the Diamondbacks, but mistakes in the field led to many unearned runs. Birdi and Hagopian led the Cardinals offense to victory. Birdi went three-for-three, with two RBI's and three runs. Hagopian went four-for-four, while scoring four runs and smashing a triple and a home run. For the Diamondbacks, Kriticos killed the ball, as he went four-for-four with a triple and two homers. Adler also went four-for-five with two triples.
